Inaugural Circles of Change Awards Breakfast
Inspires Hope and Motivates Change

Inspiring peace, hope and social action was the spirit behind SCG’s inaugural “Circles of Change” breakfast, held on Friday, November 17, in Denver.
Over 250 community members joined us to celebrate and be inspired by three women working to affect change in their communities and around the world.
Proving that one is never too young to make a difference, thirteen-year-old Denver resident Jenny Koff was recognized for her early commitment to supporting local and global causes for peace.
Denver community leader and grass-roots organizer Anita Sanborn was honored for her selfless work with the Colorado Episcopal Foundation. As the nonprofit’s president since January 2004, she has – among many other community achievements – led initiatives to deliver humanitarian aid to Darfuri refugee camps as well as help Sudanese refugees in Colorado.
Hafsat Abiola, a Nigerian peace activist and human rights advocate, and daughter of deposed and wrongfully imprisoned Nigerian president Mashood Abiola, spoke of her incredible tale of personal loss that gave rise to an impressive career fighting for freedom and justice.
Many attending the event shared that they were moved by the honorees' remarkable stories and inspired to do their part in helping to make a difference in the world.
